Bio
Itziar is from the city of Pamplona in northern Spain. A gymnast as a child, she later fell in love with bellydancing and trained first in her home town and then in London. A passionate dancer with a pure, joyful classical style and great sensitivity to music. Itziar is a well-loved dancer at the London bellydance scene and has performed on stage with some of the greatest names in bellydance.
Itziar has been a passionate dancer for the past 14 years and dancing is for her a tool of self expression and pure joy. She combines dance and yoga in her daily life as tools for healthy living and to increase body and mind consciousness.
Itziar studied the art of belly dancing both in Spain and in the UK. She has trained with a wide range of teachers and mentors from around the world, with the special mentorship of Maria Perez in Spain in her early years of dancing and Charlotte Desorgher in the UK, and other international artists such as Aziza, Hossam and Serena Ramzy, Anasma, Sadie, Ozgen, Randa Kamel and many more.
She performs on many different types of events including high profile international shows in UK and abroad, she appeared on Sky One’s Got to Dance and she performs with contemporary classical music ensemble Sounds Positive every summer at Colourscape.
In recent years Itziar has become increasingly interested in theatrical bellydance. She has been a principal dancer in all of the Company of Dreams theatrical productions, as well as taking a leading role in Ozgen’s Ask/Love productions in 2014 and 2015. She is currently studying acting at the Actor’s Centre in London.

Some interesting facts about Itziar; she was runner up at the International Cleopatra Awards at the Bellydance Congress in 2009, she filmed an instructional DVD with Hipsinc bellydance school (www.hipsinc.com) and she can play basic tabla!!
